Veritas

Veritas - logoVeritas (A Latin word meaning “truth”.) was started in the Diocese of Grand Rapids, Michigan USA during the summer of 1997 by a
small group of college age Catholics who wanted to be able to share their Catholic faith with people their own age with support from
the Grand Rapids Cursillo Movement.

Veritas is a back to basics, fun, and spirit filled weekend designed to deepen your understanding of the Catholic Faith while learning how to live for God in our complex world. Veritas is an opportunity for young men and women to discover and express their Catholic faith. The weekend consists of talks, music and activities focused on recognizing the role God plays in our everyday life. It is a blend of seriousness, fun, spiritual exercises, talks and discussions on topics of interest to young Catholic Christians. The program is filled with practical information, which you can immediately apply to your daily life. You will have the opportunity to examine your values and priorities, while learning how others have met the challenge of living for God in our complex society. It is a “back to basics” weekend which can help you better understand yourself, your family, your friends, the Church and Jesus Christ.

Veritas is open to all Catholic young men and women age 18 - 28.
